So Japan has a type of idioms called yojijukugo - four-character words with a meaning you couldn't necessarily guess from looking at each character individually. Yojijukugo have an extremely long history and, as Sion is a fan of Stereotypical Old-Fashioned Japanese Things like Go and kendo, she uses them a lot (almost everyone in Pripara has a catchphrase or verbal tic).
There are plenty of translated lists of yojijukugo out there, but since the average RPer will likely lack the context for what Sion's doing if I were to pull sayings from there, I've decided to have her use primarily English idioms but limit her to four syllables when possible and four words as a last resort. When I can find a good four-word/syllable translation of an easy-to-understand yojijukugo (for example, "ten people - ten colors" means "to each their own"), or when it's a saying she uses especially often, I'll include those, too.
She also likes to make Go puns. These will remain intact.
